300 Years of Vienna Porcelain

Founded in 1718, the “Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten”, the Porcelain Museum in the Augarten is one of the oldest and most renowned porcelain manufactories in Europe. Since its very first days, the company has been devoted to producing the highest quality of porcelain.

On a tour of the Porcelain factory and Museum, you will learn about the art of porcelain specifically focusing on the interconnectedness of every step of the process. Our trained guides explain the production and history of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory.

Porcelain Museum

At the beginning of the exhibition, guests learn about the genesis of porcelain in China and the European fascination with the product which ensued. You will learn more about the various production stages required to achieve the highest quality of porcelain. In addition, we host two special exhibitions every year that touch upon historical and current thematics surrounding Viennese porcelain.
