Founded in 1718, the “Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten”, the Porcelain Museum in the Augarten is one of the oldest and most renowned porcelain manufactories in Europe. Since its very first days, the company has been devoted to producing the highest quality of porcelain.

Manufactured and hand-painted in the heart of Vienna

Each piece of porcelain has been a reflection of the company’s standards for excellence. The manufactory’s porcelain has come to be world-renowned for its timeless grace and elegance.

On a tour of the Porcelain factory and Museum, you will learn about the art of porcelain specifically focusing on the interconnectedness of every process step. Our trained guides explain the production and history of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory.

Porcelain Museum

At the beginning of the exhibition, guests learn about the genesis of porcelain in China and the European fascination with the product that ensued. You will learn more about the various production stages required to achieve the highest quality of porcelain. In addition, we host two special exhibitions every year that touch upon historical and current thematics surrounding Viennese porcelain.

Guided tours of the manufactory occur on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Current times and further information on the factory tours can be found on the website.
