Bodawaschl – the hairdresser

In the 19th century, ‘Boda’ or ‘Bader’ was referred to as the ‘local doctor.’ Today, the term has shifted, and the service is now that of a hairdresser. Originally named ‘Sebastian’ for some reason, likely to provide a recognizable name, which is abbreviated to ‘Waschl.’

After training in Petershausen, Stefan, the owner moved to Ingolstadt, working in a startup salon. Alongside the owner he attended training sessions from Munich to L.A.

Is that all? Not by a long shot!

Driven by a passion for learning he completed makeup artist training in Munich. Following his successful graduation he worked as a freelance lecturer and makeup artist.

And now Vienna?

Before arriving in beautiful Vienna he honed his skills in the world’s most stunning locations. Learning the craft of the barber, which he now shares with enthusiastic colleagues at the coolest salon in South Bavaria, took him to London, Florence, Düsseldorf, and Cancun.

Ultimately, a pandemic led him to the opportunity to work as his own boss in Vienna.
